When travel goes wrong: Sharing stories on The Adventure Show
Travel is life-altering. It is one of the world's greatest teachers, giving life experience, shifts in perspective and an appreciation of other views and cultures. In many ways, the places I've travelled have changed my life—reminding me to slow down, that it's sometimes ok to get swept up in the lighter side of life and that surprises can await around each corner.
But, sometimes, things don't go as smoothly. Hell, sometimes things blow up in your face.
And though my trip to Cuba was absolutely needed, on a cellular level, it also didn't go completely to plan. In fact, I almost got robbed in the street by hustlers in Havana. True story.
Yesterday, my good friend Nader had me on his radio show, The Adventure Show, to talk about travel blogging and when things go wrong on the road.
I even told the whole story about that time in Havana.
